- Industrial research in the area of EV charging infrastructure with focus on novel megawatt-scale and bidirectional vehicle-to-grid charging solutions for long-haul trucks, mining vehicles and ships
- Explore, develop and techno-economically benchmark new technologies and concepts for the system architecture, the topologies and components, the cooling and the mechanical layout
- Keep a holistic view on the entire system and analyze trade-offs and synergies from the grid interface down to the EV
- Collaborate with our digital experts on smart charging and advanced fleet management schemes
- Build up and drive a global research community around the topic of EV charging in collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines
- Establish a network in the company and actively distribute your knowledge and expertise
- Propose, contribute to or lead co-creative research projects together with our Hitachi Energy business units and research centers, external universities, and industrial partners
- Disseminate your results in scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports
- PhD in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
- Proven track record in science or industry in the area of EV charging infrastructure
- Know-how on related integration topics such as cooling, grid integration and mechanical integration
- Experience with similar applications like power supply infrastructure for battery energy storage, electrolyzers or datacenters is a plus
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
