Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Product Manager to assume global responsibility for its new portfolio of Automation Solutions. Hitachi Energy serves customers in Electric Distribution, Upstream Oil & Gas, Mining, Transportation and Manufacturing verticals.

Main Accountabilities:

Responsible for coordinating and managing the strategic product roadmap, initiate product launch and product integration activities.
Analyze market conditions, product trends, performance, and competitiveness to determine strategic sales approach with the objective of maximizing sales revenues, market share and profit margins.
Manage assigned products through their lifecycles. Develop business cases and marketing scopes with functional requirements.
Work with engineering to generate product definitions. Ensure that features, quality, and cost objectives are reached, and schedules are met.
Monitor and manage profitability by defining pricing guidelines, managing pricing models and determining market positioning.
Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
Demonstrated ability to create highly compelling product marketing collateral
Gather and incorporate customer feedback through visits, industry association participation, and competitive research. Engage with Hitachi Energy's internal stakeholders in Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Operations, R&D and Service to understand the Go-ToMarket approach. Manage, conduct and participate in technical sales training and industry tradeshows.

Handling multiple priorities simultaneously and with a high degree of independence.

Leveraging infrastructure and optimize methods for proactively reporting status to multiple stakeholders.

Interfacing with multiple internal and external groups requires ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

Required:
Proven experience in Product Management, Technical Product Marketing or Business Development.
Familiarity with industrial control algorithms and protocols such as Power Management Systems, remedial action schemes, SCADA, IEC 61850, DNP, ModBus, etc.
Good understanding of modern software and hardware development technologies and processes
General technical attitude to address knowledge gaps and tackle customer challenges on the fly
Preferred:
Professional experience in Electric Sub-Transmission and Distribution, Oil & Gas or Industrial markets.
Previous experience collaborating with R&D groups operating under both Waterfall and Agile models.
