    Who You'll Work With

    • Work with the highly visible Outshift team, leading innovation for Cisco and collaborating with forward-thinking professionals.
    • Conduct research on customers, markets, competitors, and industries to shape product strategies.
    • Define and execute a clear strategy around generative AI machine learning models and applications.
    • Create MVP definitions, product roadmaps, and customer value propositions at each stage.
    • Establish key metrics, milestones, and ROI evaluations for projects.
    • Collaborate with the product management team to develop essential collateral like product documents, sales decks, and demo videos.

    What You'll Do

    • As a Distinguished Engineer, guide Outshift in AI/ML technologies, develop talent pipelines, and shape Cisco's AI strategies.
    • Drive cross-functional engagements to design, build, and deploy new products successfully.
    • Lead a diverse team of engineers, ensuring alignment across all functions.
    • Solve technical challenges, refine solutions, and provide feedback to product engineering leadership.
    • Present executive-level collateral on the business value of technology.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Drive technology strategy for AI/ML products and engagements.
    • Collaborate with peer leaders in Outshift and wider Cisco Senior Tech Talent community.
    • Lead due diligence in selecting AI technology platforms, refine solutions, and ensure successful deployments.
    • Stay updated on AI advancements and guide teams to develop innovative solutions.
    • Present executive-level collateral on the business value of technology.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Experienced engineer and team leader with a degree and relevant engineering experience.
    • Expertise in Software Engineering principles and System Architecture.
    • 5+ years of core ML/AI experience, including deep understanding of ML/AI application development.
    • Leadership abilities to mentor engineers globally and advocate for technical trends.
    • Demonstrated success in driving collaborative decisions and resolving challenges.
    • Minimum educational requirements: Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of engineering experience, Master's degree with 14+ years of experience, or PhD with 10+ years of experience.

    • Strong visibility and personal network within the ML/AI industry ecosystem.
    • Resourceful and rigorous, excelling among forward-thinking individuals.
    • Comfortable interacting with both technologists and business executives.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
