- Develop and implement Machine Learning algorithms, focusing on the exploration of novel and efficient algorithms for design optimization.
- Design relevant data structures for problems driven by physical models in the context of design optimization
- Propose performance metrics andidentify limitations of the models
- Write reports and give presentations for internal audience
- Publish papers in top-tier venues
- Write code to support research, usually in Python and/or C++
- Work closely with a team of AI researchers and engineers in the US, Switzerland, and Japan on ambitious AI projects
- Passion to develop cutting-edge AI technology and deploy it through a multi-stakeholder approach
- Background in Machine Learning (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) and relevant work/research experienceon topics related to Design Optimization
- Solid programming skills using Python, as well as frameworks such as PyTorch
- Excellent oral and written English

About the opportunity:
Sony AI is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven individual with expertise in Machine Learning and Design Optimization Algorithms for aninternship position.
