- Spearhead research and development projects creating and implementing methods and tools for the life cycle assessment of current and next generation of products and systems
- Develop user-friendly tools to estimate the environmental impact of complex systems including data mining, methods to estimate missing data, and models for linking the environmental impacts between design elements
- Collaborate with a global team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Hitachi Energy business units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements
- Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities, start-ups, and vendors.
- Disseminate your results in scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports
- PhD degree in science, engineering or a relevant field
- Deep experience in modelling and assessing of the life cycle of complex systems
- Relevant experience with data science and programming (e.g. Python, R, etc,)
- Committed to taking an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating with experts from different domains to develop cutting edge solutions with high strategic impact
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
