- Develops the EMEA logistics plan and strategy interfacing with business and functional leaders. Leads integration, cross functional internal and external alignment, and execution of the logistics plan and strategy.
- Meets customer delivery requirements within policy/procedures and compliance to regulatory and export control. Remains consistently focused on customer needs through integrated processes, systems, and use of technology.
- Align warehousing and transportation to drive successful logistics operations through the network. Communicates requirements directly with internal and external stakeholders and escalate where necessary.
- Communicate and mitigate risks for all logistics activities.
- Establishes logistics performance targets and evaluates actual performance in support of business and functional strategies. Leads corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. Performs required SOX controls and establishes remediation plans for ineffective controls.
- Provide accurate forecasting of logistics capabilities and constraints for short, mid, and long-term.
- Manage the activities, performance, development, and capabilities of the regional logistics team both direct and "dotted line" across the organization.
- Grow and mentor team and ensure capability. Leverage logistics processes and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree is required. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant supply chain work experience leading end-to-end regional supply chain.
- Proven track record delivering against key performance indicators is required.
- Experience leading a team and developing SC talent.
- Preferred experience in automotive, industrial coatings, or the broader chemical segment.
- Experience running logistics network re-engineering projects and demonstrated ability to deliver targeted savings. Knowledge of network design software for supply chain optimization.
- Experience managing operational excellence programs and detailed knowledge of tools such as Lean, Six Sigma and TPM, Service Excellence
- Experience with SAP systems, and certification in CSCP or APICS preferred.
- Strong problem solving and planning capability.
- Balanced situationally deployed leadership toolbox including inspiring, uniting, developing, pacesetting, and commanding styles.

:The Regional Logistics Director is responsible for the direct oversight and management of logistics activities across EMEA ensuring successful execution of material movements through the end customer meeting on time and performance requirements. This includes internal and external (3rd party logistics) warehousing, domestic transportation and supporting international movement of goods. This leader is responsible for regional execution and driving alignment between each commercial business creating, executing, and measuring to a strategy while being accountable for meeting financial targets.
This leader will be reporting to the VP, Supply Chain within interfacing with internal stakeholders including executive leaders and their direct reports, supplier leadership, and the supply chain leadership team.
This role is to be based ideally in Basel (CH), but we are open to consider qualified applications coming from other European countries. Relocation support can be offered. The role requires around 25% travel.
