In this role you will be responsible to create and drive implementation of our diverse and innovative product portfolio strategy to align and support the relevant business strategy.

Drive the allocation of resources across the offering portfolio based on the respective strategic objective. Monitor the offering portfolio to ensure that a healthy mix and vitality are maintained. Cooperate with Business Development to identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Drive Innovation with a strong customer value focus. Define a go-to-market model and segment strategy and align with the operational/execution path. Create and manage Product Management organizations in line with the ABB Product Management framework.

Drive excellence in Product Management teams by promoting continuous development of people and processes, and by championing ABB core values and principles.

Responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing product vision and roadmaps, managing product lifecycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers and stakeholders.


Your responsibilities

:


  • Offering portfolio strategy: Contributes to business strategy definition and translates business strategy into the offering and solution portfolio strategy. Oversees footprint, technology transfer and trading model strategy definition to optimize time to market, sales enablement, customer service levels and product profitability. Define and communicate the product portfolio strategy and vision, aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Develop and maintain product roadmaps and prioritization frameworks for each product category, ensuring alignment and coherence across the portfolio. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the product portfolio, using datadriven insights and feedback to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Portfolio Management: Continuously analyses the content of the portfolio with a focus on new potential product lines. Monitors the offering portfolio to ensure that a healthy mix and vitality are maintained. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, trends, and gaps in product portfolio. Drives organizational maturity based on the global ABB Product Management framework of processes and practices. Manage the product portfolio lifecycle, from ideation to launch to retirement, ensuring timely delivery of highquality products that meet customer expectations and business requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Drives the allocation of resources across the portfolio of product lines, in collaboration with other relevant functions, to ensure that each product line has the capability to execute its own strategic plans. Supports Product Management organization by providing the necessary infrastructure for the optimal execution of core tasks like business and performances tracking, market intelligence, roadmap planning, life cycle management, etc. Coordinate and collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, marketers, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure crossfunctional alignment and synergy across the portfolio.
  • Innovation: Drives innovation with a strong customer orientation, exploring opportunities along the full customer/user journey, taking into consideration all the touch points. Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customercentricity.
  • People Leadership: Embraces, enacts, promotes, and propagates through the organization the ABB core values, making them relevant for the specific organization (Business Area, Division, Global Product Group). Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Initiates and drives staff development and job rotation programs for the global product management community to develop competence and global awareness. Establishes and maintains succession planning for key positions within Product Management.

Your background

:


  • Overall experience 15+ years in process automation with at least 5 years of experience in global product management, in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective product management strategies
  • Strong knowledge and at least 10 years of experience in one of the energy industries
