What it's about
To extend the technical IFRS function of the Group Accounting & Reporting team, we are looking for an experienced team member assuming the following responsibilities:

  • Group-wide assessment of changes to IFRS accounting standards and implementation thereof
  • Development and maintenance of groupwide accounting manual in accordance with IFRS
  • Involvement in preparation of annual and interim financial statements and review for IFRScompliance
  • Performing peer reviews and horizon scanning of financial statements and proposing areas for improvements
  • Preparing and holding internal IFRS technical trainings and workshops at all levels of the company
  • Drafting of technical responses to queries from financial regulatory and supervisory bodies
  • Commenting on select exposure drafts from standard setters with significant impact on our industry

What we expect

  • University/higher education degree and qualification as Certified Public Accountant (CPA or equivalent)
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the area of audit and assurance or IFRS advisory services, of which ideally at least 5 years of relevant experience in an IFRS technical office or IFRS accounting advisory function, and preferably with one of the Big4 Accounting Firms
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver, analytical and structured thinker
  • Flexible and able to work in a fastpaced environment and under time pressure as required by projects' schedule
  • Knowledge of upcoming ESG reporting requirements is an advantage
  • Fluency in English language is required, German language skills and experience in a global environment would be a plus
