Your role:


  • Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput (storage resources, backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics)
  • Optimise SQL Code
  • SQL Server Installation, Upgrades, Migrations and Configuration
  • Maintain database documentation as required
  • Maintain and administer database security access
  • Perform database Adhoc backups and restores
  • Trouble shoot and resolve database connectivity issues
  • Configure and monitor AG Always ON
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
  • Monitor SQL Server Agent Jobs
  • Help develop and maintain datasets for reports and dashboards
  • Provide strategic guidance regarding future developments and improvements to existing systems
  • Coordinate work allocation within the team
  • Act as a mentor to more Junior DBA

Your profile:


  • Solid knowledge and experience in SQL and T-SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and triggers. Additional knowledge of MySQL and/or Postgres SQL a plus.
  • Solid knowledge in SSIS, SSRS
  • Solid knowledge and in database management such as creating databases, users, tables, indexes, partitions, etc.
  • Knowledge c# an asset
  • Experience with Azure cloud or other cloud technologies is a plus
  • Previous experience working in the banking, finance or accounting industry is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French.
