Role Purpose:


The Portfolio Marketing Director is responsible for leading a team of product managers to drive the strategy and tactical execution of the European product portfolio marketing plan to support the commercialization and enhancing adoption of our innovative technology.

This role will work in collaboration with the global marketing team and other relevant stakeholders on the solicitation and synthesis of input from customers and other stakeholders to drive execution of the regional plan.

The role requires team leadership and management experience in order to lead and strengthen the capabilities and performance of the team to deliver on strategies to advance adoption through clinical evidence and brand differentiation as well as strategies to strengthen our relationships with physician partners.

Success requires creativity, resilience, agility and a data-driven approach. Highly appreciated competencies include the ability to forge partnerships with diverse and numerous international and cross-functional teams.

It will also require project management and talent development ability as project delivery requires managing and overseeing the work of the team and both international and external partners across functional scopes and/or locations.

The capacity and ability to collaborate actively with cross functional partners for multiple concurrent products, campaigns, launches, programs, and initiatives will be key.


Essential Job Functions:

Plan and lead multichannel, cross-linked marketing activities to achieve large scale / deep business impact.

Success includes defining and resourcing the regional portfolio marketing plan for new and sustaining product management, optimizing and adjusting the plan as per business dynamics, providing meaningful reporting to peers and leadership team, and ensuring target achievement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive multiple major product launches, campaigns and programs supporting brand preference and adoption.
Work closely with Commercial teams understand customers' and field teams' needs and develop relevant content and tools.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clinicians/therapy leaders.
Drive Edwards presence at exhibitions, trade meetings, and other events per business need.
Contribute to development of customer and internal training plans.

Direct people line management responsibilities including a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies and the desired culture of the department.

Collaborate with other business units and functions in order to identify potential synergies and joint opportunities.
Other incidental duties as assigned.


Required Education/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree required at a minimum; Master of Business Administration is desirable
Minimum 10 years of successful marketing/product management experience in healthcare, preferably medical devices
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
People management experience with demonstrated ability to manage teams, provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including attracting, developing, and retaining talent and partnering with HR on all aspects of talent development
Fluent English, other languages are a plus such as German, French, Italian Know how
Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
Proven track record of managing successful product launches in healthcare
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Highly creative with ability to think out of box
