THE ROLE


The role of Procurement Manager - Secondary Packaging is to develop and execute a robust Secondary Packaging strategy for the newly formed company.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the supply chain sourcing and strategic choices in this area, building upon previous corporate strategies and experience while shaping them to fit the needs of a smaller and more agile business.


As such, you are responsible for driving strategy, including a global market scouting and assessment, monitoring savings initiatives and business plans with discipline to deliver the fiscal year objectives as well as longer-term interventions in the 3-5 year horizon.


You will ensure appropriate support and alignment with regional and local teams, R&D, Operations, Supplier Galaxy, and Finance in the implementation and execution of the strategy and projects.


You will build a cost-efficient and agile supply to deliver sustainable savings innovation, particularly on sustainable solutions and interventions, leveraging on industry dynamics and suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design/ refine, and implement sourcing strategies and strategic interventions across Secondary Packaging to best serve the new Wella Company
  • Deliver fiscal year targets in 2024 and establish a 5year business plan for Secondary Packaging Spend.
  • Implement Supplier Relation Management program and drive Year on Year improvement in quality, service, talent and value.
  • Support business plan to improve ethical and environmental sourcing
  • Implement governance and control, including contractual agreements and policies
  • Develop indepth category fact base from robust data analysis and cost modeling while building current and forwardlooking Market / Industry intelligence
  • Lead crossfunctional teams to deliver compelling value engineering programs

QUALIFICATIONS

Profile and education:


  • 35 years minimum experience in Direct Procurement
  • Proven experience in working in an international environment and matrix organization
  • Degreequalified, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or other relevant disciplines.
  • A high degree of fluency in English is required.

Key competencies and demonstrated Skills:


  • A resultoriented, handson individual with a solid track record
  • Strategic thinking balanced with the ability to execute
  • Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work efficiently across the supply chain
  • Proven Influencing, Negotiation, Communication and Presentation skills
  • Knowledge in executing sourcing of directs, Paper categories being a plus
  • Able to travel in support of the business
  • Team spirit
