Present in Switzerland since 1997 in Geneva, Talan Switzerland now has nearly 150 employees.

Initially focuse in the financial sector, Talan has developed in recent years in the watchmaking, insurance, media and services sectors and recently opened an office in Lausanne.


Job Description:


  • Mentor team members on Agile values, principles, practices, and processes
  • Partner with the Product Owner and team members to learn and practice Scrum Framework
  • Help improve the team's ability to selfmanage and selforganize
  • Ensure that teams adhere to team agreements such as Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, and Working Agreement
  • Establish, track and communicate agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down chart) to team, stakeholders, and management
  • Continuously promote improvement by using metrics to identify and measure progress
  • Assist the Product Owner to develop release plans, including release date and scope
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog is wellgroomed, prioritized and has actionable items for the next sprint and the next release
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies i.e. Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Facilitate discussion, independent decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with effective communication, improving transparency and radiating information Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and resolve impediments to ensure Sprint releases stays on track
  • Participate (if applicable) in Scrum of Scrum meetings to ensure crossteam collaboration and coordination
  • Actively contribute to the company's Agile Community

Qualifications:


  • B.Sc. or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master on large and global eCommerce projects
  • Technical background and/or experience as a Java developer is an asset
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches such XP and Kanban is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile at scale such as SAFe is an asset
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Ability to work in a complex, fastpaced, distributed environment with high expectations
  • Fluency in English and French
