- Education/training as Laboratory technician or experience in the areas of chemistry and biochemistry (experience in food sciences is considered a bonus)
- Min. 2 years of work experience
- Ability to perform chromatographic analyses (HPLC-UV, LC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS) and enzymatic analyses, and relevant sample preparation
- You are well organized and able to perform careful and reproducible experiments and be motivated to learn new techniques
- You enjoy working in a team and contribute responsibly in collaborative tasks as well as duties of the lab
- Knowledge of oral and written English is mandatory

print DruckenThe Food Biochemistry group aims to improve understanding of detailed composition of foods, especially food components that have beneficial effects on human health. Of specific interest are reactions of these components that occur in foods during storage and processing, and how they could be modified and further improved.
Job description
We are looking for a person to contribute to the research projects focusing on plant based foods, perform a range of biochemical and chemical analyses, maintain selected laboratory instruments and support group members and students in their use. The work also includes responsibilities in lab organization, supporting technical equipment, and managing common lab procedures, chemicals and other supplies. The position will be filled from June 2024, or as agreed, and is limited to 2 years.
