You have experience leading a technical team of direct reports to support commercial manufacturing operations and technology transfers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical direction and oversight for the EXM DS network ensuring the delivery of business objectives with our external partners in terms of product delivery.
  • Responsible for commercial manufacture support for the ExM DS network including resolution of complex technical investigations, change control implementation, delivery of operational targets and technical strategies.
  • Provides leadership and technical oversight for DS technology transfer projects or other related projects in the DS ExM environment.
  • Member of the global MS&T DS team and will have responsibility for driving continuous improvement across the ExM network and within MS&T DS aligning with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimisation of business processes and ways of working to drive team and network performance.
  • Review and approval of CMC documentation for health authority responses and regulatory filings.
  • Routinely liaising within the MS&T internal BMS network for technical and operational improvements and investigation resolution.
  • Participates actively within the extended leadership team to establish team objectives while undertaking supportive actions to drive global network initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development of a high performing team, driving engagement through assignment of development opportunities, coaching, mentoring and recognition.
  • Embed and drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and diversity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in science or engineering degree in the biotechnology, biochemical, chemical, or related disciplines, along with experience in commercial biologics manufacturing PhD (>10yrs), MS (>12yrs), BS (>15yrs), documented by a solid history of technical accomplishments.
  • Proven managerial skills in building high performing teams through effective resource planning and execution are essential; highly effective leadership skills and capabilities are required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a technical services role supporting commercial operations is essential.
  • Experience in leading and executing technology transfers into DS commercial operations is essential.
  • Proven ability to work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation of multiple factors is required.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational and project management skills are required for this role.
