Position Summary:

The Manager will be responsible for site analytics capabilities for Pharma operating unit. S/he will serve as the primary partner with Boudry site stakeholders in Switzerland.

S/he will be responsible to design and build analytics based on manufacturing execution system, integrate Boudry analytics into existing SAP ecosystem, and continue to deliver analytics insights that enable digital tier management and drive operational excellence.

As this is a cross-functional role, s/he will work closely with the other members of the Pharma Analytics and BIA GPS team, and other enabling functions including IT, OPEX, and Finance.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Supporting Business Decisions

  • Identifies and contextualizes business issues, working to embed an objective and unbiased point of view into the business conversation.
  • Develops and maintains understanding of pharma operating unit business priorities, meeting agreed upon analytics deliverables / timing
  • Driving Analytics and Capabilities for Pharma Operations and Boudry site
  • Designs, develops and deploy a broad array of business analytics that solve complex problems in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner.
  • Proactively manages planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders.
  • Effectively partners and collaborates with a broad set of cross functional counterparts and external vendors to achieve organizational objectives
  • Driving Team Productivity and Operational Excellence
  • Supervises and collaborates closely with external analytics contractors and vendors when applicable or assigned.
  • Conducts detailed team walkthroughs and peer review of team's work to ensure quality, cross training and knowledge management within the team.
  • Authors detailed documentation that describes analytics tool development, assumptions and input data and any specialized data treatments. Authors user manual for dissemination within Manufacturing Operations user base

Requirements:


  • BA/BS in a scientific or quantitative major required; advanced degree preferred
  • Two years of experience developing and using business analytics and reporting techniques; relevant experience in biopharmaceutical industry preferred. PhD without experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with data science solutions including data transformation, data visualization, statistical analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, predictive modeling, machine learning, etc.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, teambuilding, written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective collaborations within matrix teams.
  • Experience with analytics, modeling platforms, data manipulation software and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python, GitHub, SAP HANA, Tableau, Redshift, Microsoft Suite).
  • Experience interacting with senior management understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/analytical information requirements preferred
  • Experience in leveraging methods such as Design Thinking and Human Center Design to generate high value questions preferred
