    What is a Senior Presales Solution Consultant?

    Also known as a "Senior Solution Engineer", "Senior Pre-Sales Consultant", "Senior Solution Consultant" or "Senior Sales Consultant," the Senior Solution Consultant is responsible for understanding a client's business challenge and architecting and proposing a fitting technology solution based on Salesforce and partner technologies, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle.

    To accomplish this, the Solution Consultant must use their creativity, passion and technical skills to help our customers connect better with their customers, patients, employees and partners. It also includes the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders, solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and configure and optimally demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

    A Solution Consultant's output typically comprises in-person product demonstrations based on custom configured Salesforce solutions, presentation slides, videos and/or interactive prototypes, and are augmented with additional output based on the Solution Consultant's research like business value trees, user journey maps and more. Solution Consultants routinely present and champion industry-specific Salesforce solutions at industry meetings, Salesforce and partner events, webinars and in other occasions.

    Typical Day of a Senior Solution Consultant:

    • Facilitate outcome-focused dialogue to understand and define a customer's business requirements by conducting discovery calls and discovery workshops
    • Partner with prospects/customers to develop a vision for their future on the Salesforce platform, developing a roadmap for both short and long term goals
    • Make that vision come to life by configuring and communicating the art of the possible on our platform through a product demonstration
    • Build additional Sales support material like videos, slide decks and/or interactive prototypes
    • Establish and share a point of view on business value provided by the solution with potential customers
    • Act hand in hand with the extended team consisting of design strategists, industry experts and product specialists.
    • Participate in trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain skills
    • Collaborate with product and enablement teams to provide feedback from the field and drive solution growth

    Requirements:

    • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Strong interest in the healthcare and life sciences industry
    • Ability to understand customer's business goals and map those to the right technology solutions
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to tackle business and technical problems and to solve technical problems in varied political environments
    • Passion and energy for technology and a desire to learn
    • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology

    Additional Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience implementing Salesforce, CRM, or equivalent solutions
    • Track record of working in a technology consulting or implementation role
    • Experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries
    • Solution Consultant / Pre-Sales / Solution Architect experience
    • Experience implementing Salesforce, CRM, or equivalent solutions
    • Experience in other technical, customer-facing roles
    • Project Management skills
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Experience with Salesforce, including product certifications
    • Fluent German
