Cost Estimator

This position is responsible for submitting cost effective, competitive as well as comprehensive technical proposals to existing or prospective clients.

As Cost Estimator you will focus on and also drive the technical accuracy of quotations, deliver a perfect service to the end-customer while optimize the future execution of the project.

Working under the direction of the EMEA Quotation Director, the role involves leading the organization and content development of the maintenance task database.

Furthermore you will disseminate technical competences throughout the worldwide Jet Aviation network, increase the overall quotation efficiency, and deliver a globalized customer experience.

Description/Tasks:

Responsibilities are within the Sales Support and Administration Function as a Senior Technical Specialist supporting the development of complex & large contractual engagements (quotes, contracts, tenders etc.)
Support sales representatives and channel partners in development of proposals, contracts, quotes, and tenders, by engaging with all the value chain stakeholders
Throughout his/her technical expertise, take responsibility for the financial & technical accuracy of all proposals, quotes and tenders released within the area of activity
Ensure the development & maintenance of a database to speed up and reusability of the data generated
Take the lead on improving knowledge of the department by sharing technical expertise

Qualification/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited University with substantial technical experience in Aerospace industries (alternatively, a proven track record of at least 10 years in a supervisor/leader position in Aerospace with a preference for mechanics or avionics)
Fluent in English (written and spoken); German and/or French are an asset
Knowledge of Aviation Regulations (ESA and/or FAA)
Experience in an international environment and used to work in large and multidisciplinary teams or global companies
Build strong relationships within Jet Aviation in order to achieve common goals
Independent way of working with a high degree of efficiency
Proactive, forwardthinking, and selfmotivated team player
Results driven able to execute with high personal accountability
