Research Intern Philanthropy Fundraising

About the Role

Médecins Sans Frontières is an organization that provides medical and humanitarian aid to those in need, regardless of background or beliefs.

To cover the Swiss market, we have offices in Geneva and Zurich. The Philanthropy Unit within the Communication & Fundraising Department plays a key role in raising funds.

As a research intern, you will help the Philanthropy Unit with various tasks under the supervision of the Prospect Researcher.

You will contribute to securing funding for MSF's mission through research, due diligence, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Conduct research on potential major donors using various sources
Create donor profiles based on analysis of philanthropic priorities
Ensure compliance with gift acceptance policy
Assist in data analysis strategies
Provide support to Philanthropy Advisors
Collaborate on projects as needed
Contribute to team success based on skills and objectives

Requirements

Participate in internship program
Strong research and writing skills
Familiarity with Swiss social and economic landscape
Knowledge of CRM systems and data analysis
Working towards a university degree
Prior internship experience is a plus
Ability to analyze and synthesize information
Proficient in English, French, and German

Role Details

Internship agreement required
Duration: 6 to 12 months
Full-time position in Geneva
Starting date: August 2^nd, 2024
Monthly stipend: 2'000.- CHF
