Director, DPS EMEA Asset Management

Role Overview:


Asset Management is key position driving the attainment of Capital Efficient Profitable and Compliant Growth by ensuring the efficient utilization and effective investments in assets and inventory.


Combination of efficient utilization and effective investment is key to ensure that the company, in line with their business strategy, drives programs and actions to maximize customer service, optimize cash flow, grow sales, and market share in a profitable manner, while delivering the quality and compliance standards.


This position will be responsible for driving programs, establishing processes, and building organizational capability for delivering the business goals like inventory, DOS, E&O etc linked with asset and inventory management.

This position will work in close coordination with Country-Regional-Global supply chain teams, regional commercial and finance.

Key Responsibilities:


A. Visibility and Accuracy**- Lead and establish the capabilities to have the visibility of our assets and inventory up to the last node in supply chain e.g. - markets, Loaners, consignments, kits etc.

  • Deploy the tools and processes for ensuring the accuracy of field inventory. Markets should be able to efficiently count the inventory for delivering the compliance standards. Field inventory movements should be captured and reflected in ERP system.
  • Establish governance processes to monitor progress and initiate actions.

B. Analytics and Insights**- Establish tools and capabilities for determine the usage of our inventory and assets and identify the optimization opportunities.

  • Establish the field inventory entitlement levels, instrument utilization analysis and other reports / insights.
  • Coordinate with regional commercial excellence team to develop and deploy tools to capture the investment plans, account profitability, portfolio governance.

C. Process and Governance**- Implement the processes for proactive pull back of excess inventory.

  • Drive the active redeployment of inventory in field by coordinating with redeployment hub and reverse logistics capabilities.
  • Establish the Integrated P&L approach linking the Capex investment and hence inventory additions with E&O requirements to inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with regional planning and market supply chain teams to ensure the excess assets and inventory is utilized for new business opportunities.

D. Execute and Optimize**- Identify the opportunities to modify the policies or procedures for ensuring seamless execution of plans and business goals.

  • Lead Inventory LRFP, Inventory Business Planning and Updates (JU, NU) for DPS EMEA
  • Lead or coordinate major programs like MDR, Magellan to ensure business continuity or capability development.
  • Host reviews with key stakeholders and establish action plans to improve / optimize.
  • Establish governance for programs / initiatives track YTD performance of inventory optimization projects/programs flag risk and opportunities and find mitigations.

E.

People and Organization**:


  • Continue to develop organization capability in region and in markets for asset and inventory management.
  • Ensure the regional and global strategies and programs are communicated and cascaded to the team for alignment and engagement.
  • Attract, train, and develop the talent and create a strong platform for people and organization growth.

Qualifications:


Education:


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required with a focus in a Business, Technical, or Operations discipline.

Experience and Skills:


  • A minimum 15 years of professional experience is required.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning and/or comprehensive knowledge of S&OP processes, Demand Planning and/or Inventory Management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating, trade off decisionmaking process, and influencing skills are required.
  • Demonstrated enterprise mindset, with ability to impact and collaborate across multigeography teams in a matrix environment to achieve business objectives.
  • A proven process mindset and project management skills required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required.
  • Experienced in leading crossfunctional global projects and teams is helpful.
  • Lean or Six Sigma training or certification is preferred.
