Global Rental, Service & Marketing (GRSM) is a part of the Services, Distribution & Digital (SD&D) segment. GRSM is comprised of Global Rental & Used Equipment Services, Global Service and Global Marketing & Brand.

What you will do:

To facilitate the sale of allied equipment to Caterpillar Dealers in the EAME and APAC regions.


Job duties:


  • Responsible for delivering the business plan for the purchase of Allied equipment to the Caterpillar dealers resulting in a Market Creation Fee being paid to Caterpillar for the facilitation of the program.
  • Works to achieve MCF Business plan goal, cost expectations, while also maintaining allowing the dealers to meet their profitability targets.
  • Provides input to Allied Vendor Program management regarding competitive issues, sales plans, and activities of dealers, vendors, and other business units.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with Rental managers, other regional representatives and key rental personnel. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with dealers, district offices, vendors, and corporate marketing divisions through regular visits and/or communication.
  • Assists dealers in inventory rightsizing by facilitating relationships with key vendors to help dealer purchase or sell equipment or find refurbished equipment.
  • Completes work assignments and communicates/coordinates work with others.
  • Maintains relevant and timely communication with internal and external customers.
  • Monitors and reports on key quality measures.
  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
  • Participate actively in goal of zero reportable safety incidents.
**Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.

How You'll be Successful (Basic Qualifications):

  • Willingness to travel
  • at least 50% of the time
  • with international travel.
  • A college or university degree in any business discipline or a minimum of 6 to 8+ years experience in the rental services industry is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the rental industry and prior work at an equipment manufacturer will be considered as a substitute for education and/or experience.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.

Communication:
Strong ability to deliver and receive messages accurately to both internal business partners and external contacts.


Collaboration:
Capacity to listen carefully and implement ideas of self and others. Work with cross-functional teams towards an end goal.


Problem Solving and Analysis:

Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; comoparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.


Organization and Planning:
Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that the work is completed efficiently. Identifies more critical and less critical activities and assignments; adjusts priorities when appropriate.
