  • This is a unique opportunity to further develop the Lindt & Sprüngli strategic approach to Media Agency Management at global and local levels. Investment in media placements through media agencies as intermediaries is one of the biggest discretionary investments for the Lindt & Sprüngli Group.
  • The role of the International Media Manager will be to further develop the professional management of our longterm media agency partners, i.e.
, be the primary lead for management of the Group's media agencies globally:

  • Further development of a professional set-up of media management for the Group going forward, working closely with Procurement & Legal
  • Further build internal media management knowledge at a group and at local levels, working closely with more than 40 countries
  • Continuously challenge the media agencies and their work
  • This new role will report directly to the Head of International Media and will be part of the International Marketing Team at our Headquarter in Kilchberg, Switzerland.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Run all media agency pitches & negotiations: global, regional and local pitches as well as negotiations and renegotiations with the main partners, working closely with Procurement & Legal
  • Management of media agency contractual updates, both on global (Global Framework Agreements) and local levels (Local Market Agreements), working closely with L&S Procurement & Legal
  • Review, change and add new service descriptions and commercial models to be delivered by the media agencies, given this dynamic environment. Examples include Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing (KOL), Retail Media planning & buying, etc.
  • Management of media agencies' performance as per the contracts
  • Management of media agencies' performance assessment and validation via 3rd parties: Media Audits
  • Execute regular media agency reviews, e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving, especially on a local level, e.g., improvements in local media agency performance required, changes to local media agency teams, etc.
  • Management of the international media agency teams and their outputs, incl. costs & invoicing, KPI setting, weekly calls, etc.
  • Oversee development and implementation of media agencies' own reporting & dashboards
  • Assist with organizing and facilitating international media workshops and meetings
  • Assist with other areas of strategic media management

YOUR PROFILE:

  • University degree in business/marketing or related fields mandatory
  • 7+ years of professional experience working for one (or more) player in the paid media value chain: a media agency, a global/regional advertiser/brand, a media owner or a specialist media consultant/auditor
  • Experience of working across more than 1 country.
Knowledge of the following countries is considered of advantage:
USA and Europe (e.g., Germany, Switzerland, Italy France, UK)

  • Media management experience including media agency pitches, media contracts/agreements, auditing, building internal media management knowledge, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: obtaining buyin from central and local senior management is critical for being successful in this position
  • Strong project management experience and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Successful track record of designing and implementing projects in a decentralised organisation
  • Proven track record in being part of crossfunctional teams
  • Fluently spoken and written English at advanced business level is mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders: internally at central and local levels as well as externally with partners and suppliers
  • Working with teams spread globally, across several time zones and covering diverse nationalities and cultures
  • Excellent social & communication skills
Travel Required: 10%
