Your 'day to day'

As a Manager Strategic Projects, you will support the synchronization between functions, leading and ensuring proper projects management focusing on planning execution in line with Initiative Management (IM) standards.

You will work closely with Central and Local Functions to define, implement, and validate the success criteria of each initiative.

You will be responsible to implement the governance of Initiative Management focusing in the process streamline and cross collaboration.

More specifically, you will:

Provide guidance and support to Project Engineers and Project Leaders of other department to have a standard approach to Initiative Management and helping them to reach expected project goals in terms of KPI's.
Guarantee the quality of current and new initiatives via continuously updated methods and qualification standards to introduce new product/processes in line with PMI quality standards, and to deliver expected quality via a competent and adequate qualification process.
Manage feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, planning activities and technology assessments to prepare long and shortterm plans to support central functions achieving their objectives in terms of projects delivery.
Ensure the preparation of monthly Capex reports and be proactive to revise projects execution (inclusion/exclusion) to achieve expected financial targets (hit rate). Review and control the budget with regular spending analysis.
Manage, coach and motivate team members, organize training programs, ensure qualification matrix compliance and delegate appropriate responsibilities to develop personal and technical skills and high performance.

Who we're looking for:

University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent.
Seasoned experience in technical/Engineering environment coupled with previous experience in a managerial role.
Seasoned experience in Quality.
Strong project management experience. Formal education in PMP is a plus.
Initiative Management Knowledge is a strong asset.
Effective communicator, problem solver, used to work with multiple partners and deal with ambiguity.
Seasoned experience in leading teams.
Proficiency in French and English.
