Distinguished Scientist - Basel, Schweiz - Certara

• Establish a collaborative disease progression model consortium with support from colleagues in QSS, BDSA, and other parts of the Certara Organization, which builds on various data sources including individual and summary level clinical trial data as well as real world data.
• Leverage existing capabilities across Certara to build integrated 'PharmacologytoPayor' modelinformed drug development (MIDD) offerings in select therapeutic indications
• Accountable for helping to generate and lead strategic scientific consulting projects for Certara Drug Development Solutions, making a positive impact on clients and supporting business growth and serving as a billable consultant (~30% of time billable)
• Is part of the QSS and BDSA Leadership teams, and internally participates in initiatives to develop and promote bridging between QSS and BDSA approaches
• Position may require accountability for hiring and managing a team as the role grows and progresses.

• PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent degree with formal training in pharmacometrics, biostatistics, mathematics, engineering, clinical pharmacology, medicine, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years related experience in drug development leadership roles, which may include consulting and strategic roles
• Demonstrated innovator and builder, and wellknown and respected in the industry
• Indepth knowledge of drug development and multiple M&S techniques and multiple TAs required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and a proven record of success, as an industry thought leader.
• Strong experience managing team of professionals at various levels.
• Demonstrated experience in the management and execution of complex projects.

• Ability to diagnose complex problems and develop meaningful and impactful solutions
• Deep knowledge of drug development, pharmacokinetics and pharmacology and basic science skills required.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
