Job Description
This role is responsible for managing the Swiss hemoglobinopathies commercial team and lead the cross-functional team to develop & execute the strategy and launch plan for our first gene editing therapy for hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia), exa-cel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages hemoglobinopathies commercial team (to be built) and lead crossfunctional disease team
- Adapt the brand strategy to Swiss market, and ensure it is translated into an effective launch plan for Authorized Treatment Centers (ATCs), referring centers, HCPs and care teams
- Works with the international and global teams to help shape the global and international brand strategy/ global deliverables to meet the Swiss specific needs
- Oversee the certification of the Authorized Treatment Centers to our therapy and later on the relationship with key stakeholders
- Engages with the HCP community for transfusiondependent ẞthalassemia (TDT) and sickle cell disease (SCD), including both surgeon/staff/hospital pharmacists/controller working in transplant centers and referring hematologists, to understand community challenges and opportunities influence perceptions, and to develop advocates
- Collaborates with internal Legal, Medical, Market Access, Communication, Patient engagement and Regulatory partners to deliver a compelling, effective unbranded and branded campaign for haematologists, transplanters, and associated care teams
- Works with external agencies to execute commercial strategy and tactics through personal and nonpersonal channels, while ensuring external partners remain ontime and onbudget
- Leverages primary and secondary research to develop clear, actionable insights that accurately inform the key drivers and barriers to a successful launch strategy.
Key Requirements:
- Strong Commercial experience from BioPharma including Launch readiness experience
- Good understanding of Haematology/ Cell and Gene Therapies
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree
- Fluent in German and English
- Leadership skills to directly/indirectly lead team members working with various profiles & background experience
- Highly skilled in leading and influencing crossfunctional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders with scientific and commercial teams
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage initiatives that require collaboration across multiple functional areas
- An entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Hands on approach, can do attitude and Innovative and entrepreneurial flair
- Strong written communication skills, presentation delivery, and interpersonal skills to be effective in a team environment
- A solid compliance mindset and demonstrated integrity on the job.
