The Role

Global Training and Commercial Effectiveness is a vital function with the key goals of increasing deal conversion by improving buyer engagements, driving organizational alignment, and improving the overall efficiency of our salesforce, and ensuring their knowledge and skills are the best in the field.

Moderna is seeking a fixed-term Sr.

Project Manager, Global Training & Commercial Effectiveness, to work with multiple stakeholders within the global commercial team and partner with country leaders to ensure the localization and flawless execution of GTCE's projects and training initiatives.

This will include partnering with country leaders to launch new products, processes, and tools, and to ensure training compliance.

The incumbent of this new role will also help build GTCE's processes to adequately support our commercial organization - specifically in EMEA and APAC.

This includes representing country interests during the development of tools, processes, and training as well as providing continuous feedback on how to improve our training for the countries you support.

This position will project manage GTCE's initiatives through a regional partnership with EMEA and local partnership with APAC countries and will focus on driving the success of our commercial team.

Here's What You'll Do


Collaborates with the global training team and local (commercial/medical) teams to design and implement world-class training programs that align with local/regional practices.


Ensures that training delivered is localized from global content and is approved by local legal, regulatory, and medical review committees.

Coordinates and/or facilitates training and then ensures that training, assessments, and any certification activities are complete.


Conduct an analysis of local countries' current skills, knowledge, and processes and work with the sales leadership team to identify strengths and areas for development.

Work with local commercial/marketing/medical teams to determine appropriate messaging for the specific roles in which they support.

Stays abreast of product information, industry trend, and technology to ensure the relevancy of training content. Conduct co-travels to stay in tune with customers' needs.

Monitors local hiring practices and establishes training schedules to ensure prompt onboarding that reduces ramp-up time.

Coordinates appropriate resources needed to deliver training content during onboarding and training events. Deliver training as needed and appropriate for different roles.


Assists in the development of performance metrics, and dashboards that clearly articulate the status of key activities ensuring timely and successful execution.

Actively participates in local and regional meeting design and execution.

Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree required

7+ years relevant experience

Experience in managing internal and/or external teams

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

Demonstrated a high degree of competence in all elements of the role listed above

Understanding of best practices across the pharmaceutical industry

Direct Field Sales and Field Sales Management experience, a plus.

Experience creating and implementing successful sales process/methodology/ sales playbook initiatives.

Experience building effective field sales on-boarding and sales training programs.

Strong organizational and project management skills (multi-tasking is a must)

Excellent diplomacy and facilitation skills; ability to influence without authority

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to travel globally

Experience in pharma/biotech preferred
