To support Underwriting and Operations in policy administration, invoicing, broker statements, credit control and other administrative tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

Policy Admin/Booking

  • Enter risk and policy data into the Operations systems within defined service level
  • Control proactively Salesforce prospects on an ongoing basis and ensure Underwriting is submitting booking information in a timely manner and that declined/NTU business is properly updated in Salesforce (è keep Salesforce clean)
  • Ensure high data quality in Operations systems (Salesforce, SPARC, Eclipse) through checks and reviews
  • Ensure Taxes are correctly declared / booked and processed internally
  • Establish premium invoices within a set timeframe after inception
  • Establish brokerage and Co-Insurance statement within a set timeframe after receiving premium payment and initiate payout process.
Credit Control

  • Work on aged debt on a weekly basis
  • Ensure overdue debt is reported to Underwriters and execute on agreed actions
  • Ensure stage and comments for Finance team are up to date in Eclipse
  • Handle bordereaux and ensure claims information is shared with Claims team
  • Handle premium payments (based on "payments & receipts" file) and make sure policy assignment is being done in a timely manner. Avoid any backlog.
  • Advise reinsurance department to ensure Facultative R/I can be paid out once premium received.
Administration/Other

  • Drive continuous improvement of Operations and Underwriting Processes within own area of responsibility
  • Support the implementation of global Operations projects
  • Proactively inform internal / external stakeholders
  • Ensure filing of Operations documentation is complete
  • Assist in training of underwriters and new admin staff as required
  • Other administrative office tasks as deems appropriate
Experience

  • Technical accounting or similar experience
  • Preferably with insurance background

Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and team worker.
  • Capable of multitasking and flexible when delegating some tasks.
  • Curious and able to learn independently
  • Financial acumen
