From engaging educational programmes to its signature digital project the Homo Faber Guide and international exhibition the Homo Faber Event, the Foundation is fostering a cultural movement centered on master artisans.

The Foundation federates +130 institutional partners in +40 countries as part of its global craft network.

It relies on its partners to understand local realities, gain knowledge of the artisans, ateliers, manufactures active in their countries and co-create projects.


Position summary


As part of the Education and Institutional Partnerships team, the craft network portfolio facilitates the collaboration of key stakeholders in the world of crafts and applied arts offering them the chance to meet, encouraging exchange and fostering a sense of community to advance the positioning of the sector and of the Foundation at global level.

The Institutional Partnerships Community Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of our craft network.

This includes the identification of potential institutional partners, representing the Foundation, onboarding new partners as part of our crafts network, animating this community by installing and ensuring a constant dialogue between the Foundation and its partners.


We are seeking for a dynamic and passionate Community Coordinator to join the team in network development, community management and partnerships coordination at a strategic, operational and administrative level.

This role reports to the Head of Education and Institutional Partnerships.


Main responsibility
The main responsibilities of the Institutional Partnerships Community Coordinator are to:

  • Craft network community development and engagement:
  • Identify organisations, experts and actions related to our purpose in focused countries
  • Present the Foundation and follow membership adhesion to craft network
  • Community management:
  • Implement the Institutional Partnerships Community strategy
  • Engage and manage craft network partners and experts to mobilise actions around our and the sectors' priorities
  • Create an understanding of individual priorities and trust across partners around a common agenda including the delivery of a communication plan and activities
  • Asses yearly action plan according to defined success factors / KPIs, make proposal for improvements
  • Ensure quality data and build the Foundation's database
  • Enhance efficiency of setup processes (memberships, data / information collection)
  • Manage the network general mailbox
  • Partnerships and events management:
  • Identify and position the Foundation in activities of partners
  • Design and deliver virtual / IRL community events working with internal / external stakeholders and tools
  • Work together with colleagues redistributing information on relevant aspects of projects
  • Others:
  • Prepare documents from strategic presentations to projects descriptions, budgets, preparation of contracts

How will you experience success with us?
To be successful the Institutional Partnerships Community Coordinator, have the following skills:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in community, network and / or partnerships management across public / private sectors at global level or multicultural level
  • Proven ability to federate and engage partners and network around common goals
  • A first experience in delivering projects management around community, network and / or partnerships
  • Interested in working at all levels of a project from conception to realization
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and interpersonal skills and comfortable in public speaking
  • Energetic, problemsolver, and avid learner
  • Able to take initiative and drive work autonomously
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
  • Computer skills
