This position is located at our corporate office in Zug, Switzerland.


Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Design the annual internal audit plan. Outline scope and identify controls for detail testing. Plan and schedule onsite audit visits, quarterly selfassessments and other as appropriate.
  • Perform detailed internal audit testing for external audit reliance and document results.
  • Perform walkthroughs of hotel processes and prepare documented narratives of processes.
  • Design property selfaudit coordinate with properties and review results.
  • Assess and monitor hotel compliance with corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Identify control deficiencies and weakness, assessing the financial risk associated with any control gaps.
  • Prepare audit report of all findings and recommendations for property.
  • Assist with remediation efforts and follow through to ensure any control issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with hotel General Managers and Directors of Finance to improve processes, gain efficiencies and mitigate risk.
  • Assist with external audits, new system audits and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Finance or internal controls capacity
  • Work experience in hospitality, ideally propertybased
  • Available to travel extensively to Aman's 34 properties in 20 countries
  • Good people skills, positive, engaging and energetic personality
  • Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Sensitive to cultural nuances
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders
  • Professional appearance
  • Right to work in Switzerland
