The brand new multi-purpose manufacturing and development site in Lengnau is designed for large scale biologics manufacturing and has high expansion potential.

After completion of the construction phase, our Lengnau site will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from process development to large-scale production, including stainless steel equipment, in order to successfully meet the needs of our customers.


Scientist in Analytics, Development Laboratories (M/F/d)


In this position, you will work within an Openlab structure in DSP department, to support the daily work of the process development laboratories by analyzing the samples generated during the different experiments.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Take the responsibility of the Technology Transfer and Implementation of analytical methods relative to recombinant protein characterization
  • Analyze samples generated during the Process Development studies
  • Assist the Support Scientist in maintaining lab supplies (equipment, logbooks, ordering, ) in collaboration with local and global partners.
  • Write protocols and method / instrument SOPs
  • Train new employees in your area of responsibility
  • Analyze and present data, Write plan & report
  • Represent the team in crossfunctional working teams and in PPI

Your profile:


  • Bachelor/Master in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field (Uni, ETH or FH), or alternatively an education as lab technician with several years of experience in a Life Sciences environment.
  • Practical work experience in a laboratory environment is a must.
  • Experience in recombinant protein analysis: knowledge of antibody analysis is an asset
  • Experience in U(H)PLC is an asset, as well as in immunochemistry assay & SDS-PAGE / Westernblot assays
  • Independent work in compliance with internal work regulations and accurate documentation.
  • Customer centric thinking and team spirit
  • Result driven and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English is required.
  • Very good IT skills (Microsoft Office products), experience with Electronic Lab Notebook is a plus.
  • Willingness to work sporadic during weekends according to the needs
