Comet PCT manufactures specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and increase the performance of manufacturing equipment.

These are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens, such as those used today in sensors, smartphones or tablets.

To strengthen our team we are looking for a competent personality for our division PCT
at the headquarter Flamatt in the region Bern - Fribourg as
Vice President Global R&D (M/F/d).

In this role, you will perform the following duties:

The VP Global R&D is the top technology executive, playing an integral role in the strategic direction, development, future growth and is responsible for the technical vision and leading all aspects of the technology development
Lead and further develop the global R&D teams, centers, and structures at PCT
Develop new products and IP to market readiness within Time to Market requirements
Build and manage a topflight technology team to create synergies, strategic and sustainable technology roadmaps and oversee research and development, as well as project management
Colead (with Product Marketing) the definition, documentation and approval of the needs and customer requirements being addressed in each R&D program
Managing the innovation processes, invention disclosure processes and IP filing processes, and in partnership with the CTO, the innovation processes of the company
Oversee the project management processes of the Division and ensure that programs are executed in a manner that ensures multifunctional team representation and appropriate involvement of and communication with senior management
Working with the President of the business and finance functions to ensure the efficient deployment of capital on R&D programs

For this exciting and diverse position, you will bring the following:

Master's degree in engineering
Proven ability to interpret technology and market trends as a basis for technology and product plans.
Strong experience and networking in semiconductor and related industries is a must
At least 15 years of experience in project management, management and leadership positions in the technology sector
Track record in new product development and commercialization
Proven leadership and management experience working with crossfunctional, crosscultural, geographically dispersed teams on complex projects
Highly focused on delivering products that meet the needs of our customers
Brings support and positive attributes for a culture that is respectful, supportive, goaloriented, scientific and diverse
Work with legal and transactional teams, and execute the R&D program with awareness of the above
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and German)
