Operations and Logistics - Fertilizer & Sulphur in our office in Zurich.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of operations of Fertilizers and Sulphur book _
  • Managing the daytoday operations of the Fertilizers and Sulphur book
  • Overall control of the shipments and execution of the contracts:
  • Coordinating with the operations team
  • Credit / Risk exposures /Cargo release control
  • Preventing/Mitigating of the issues
  • Claims management
  • Maintaining book positions list
  • Contract execution and execution control together with the operational team:_
  • Daily contact with operational personnel, producers, customers, warehouses, agents, and field offices as required
  • Coordinating of vessels instructing and followingup from loading to discharging ports
  • Issuing documentary instructions to contract supplier; ensuring invoicing of and payment of cargoes, monitoring accounts receivables
  • Negotiating customers L/Cs with our finance department/LC department and banks and effecting collection of payments
  • Organizing and controlling deliveries and presenting of documents
  • Postfixture operations and laytime settlements
  • Logistics and business development_
  • Develop new logístical routes and operations:
  • Organize bulk (vessel and train), container, truck shipments of sulfur and fertilizer products: cargo packing, cargo loading, cargo discharge, transportation itself, transshipment, storage
  • Coordinating with service providers forwarders, shipping agents, warehouses, surveyors: screening locations, preparing service agreements, arranging payments for services, controlling quality of services.
  • 5+ years' experience in international logistics (preferably dry bulk commodity related)
  • Working knowledge of shipping (primarily bulk shipping and containers), charter parties, laytime calculation
  • Working knowledge of Letters of Credit / documentary collections
  • Fluency in English; proficient communication skills both written and verbal
  • MS Office computer fluency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Time Management, Stress Management/Composure.

  • Technical Capacity (attention to detail, knowledge of commodity logistics terminology and processes)
