Job Description:


The Oetiker Corporate Development team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate development M&A workflow, including the identification, evaluation and execution of acquisition, partnership, joint-venture, strategic investment and divestiture transactions across all geographies and segments of the Oetiker Group.

As Corporate Development Associate, you are responsible for building a proactive pipeline of acquisition, partnership and strategic investment opportunities and for supporting the execution of deals.

You will also be involved in post-merger integration activities at acquired companies and lead selected strategic projects and growth initiatives.


Your responsibilities:


  • Conduct market research in defined search fields and compile information on market structure, trends, key players etc.
  • Develop detailed financial models and support target valuation analyses and business case modelling
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence activities with internal and external parties and prepare finding reports for due diligence committee meetings
  • Assist in preparing and negotiating term sheets, letter of intents, final offers, purchase agreements, partnership agreements etc.
  • Prepare presentations and analyses on various topics for senior management
  • Work on other strategic projects and growth initiatives

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or similar quantitative field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in corporate development, M&A consulting or private equity
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Fluent in English and German, any other languages are a plus
  • Detailoriented, organized and a selfstarter able to work efficiently and independently in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize based on business needs and urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple locations and business functions
