For our client, a leading company in the Pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for an
Operational Project Manager

Background:


We are looking for an experienced project manager with a profound knowledge of hybrid project management capable of bridging the virtual IT world to the real, physical world of modern R&D labs.

The operational project manager will be part of the PMO (project management office) supporting the strategic project manager, the IT project manager, and the project management officer with a focus on guiding the project team in terms of methodology, processes, quality, execution, controlling, etc.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Organize, facilitate, and coordinate crossteam meetings (ceremonies) such as program increment planning, system demo, scrumofscrum, sync meetings, and governance meetings
  • Responsible for transparency on the project timeline, budget, and quality
  • Responsible for risk management and quality assurance
  • Guide and support the teams in terms of project management methodologies (hybrid: agile and waterfall)
  • Manage, lead and coordinate a diverse, international team distributed across many functions, companies and hierarchies

Must Haves:


  • Min, Bachelor degree or similar educational background including PMP/PMI Certification or similar certification
  • Min. 5+ years of experience in managing large IT projects ideally in a hybrid environment (agile and waterfall), preferred in the regulated industry
  • Handson knowledge of the SAFe framework and basic waterfall project management methods
  • Strong knowledge of basic IT development and delivery methodologies (e.g. DevOps, CI/CD or similar)
  • Good knowledge of stateoftheart IT infrastructure concepts and edge IT technologies (e.g. IoT, etc.)
  • English and German and fluency in spoken and written
  • Strong coordination skills with multiple and diverse related projects and stakeholder groups
  • Strong communication and leadership skills in an diverse, international and multicultural environment
  • Proactive team player who is able to prove flexibility
