MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:


  • Proposing and supervising the operating budget of the Safety Equipment & Homologation Group.
  • Driving revenues through FIA label ("holograms") on homologated equipments and propose new business opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing costeffective safety standards and safety regulations by liaising with safety equipment manufacturers, laboratories, car manufacturers, circuit owners and ASNs.
  • Attending FIA commissions and working Group/Advisory Committee meetings as required.
  • Supervising the homologation and post homologation programs of competitor, vehicle and circuit hardware safety equipment, such as helmets, FHRs, seats, harnesses, debris fence, safety barriers, etc.
  • Managing the homologation of crash structures and chassis for all categories except for touring, grand touring vehicles and single seater categories in strict collaboration and under the responsibility of the category manager.
  • Contributing to the Safety Department communication initiative.
  • Contributing to the FIA Safety Department strategy.
  • Continuously propose action to improve the Safety Equipment & Homologation Group working processes and efficiency.
  • Supervising the secretariat of the Industry Working Group.

PROFILE:


  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of motor sport experience including minimum 5 years in a Motor Sport Federation.
  • Strong knowledge of measures related to motor sport accident prevention and injury mitigation.
  • Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of complex technical issues using a first principles approach of engineering/science.
  • Ability to motivate staff members towards a shared objective.
  • Languages: English business fluent necessary. Other language a plus.
  • IT Tools : Microsoft proficiency and other IT tools designed to enable realtime collaboration between different locations and 3D software.
