    About the team you are joining

    Reportingto the Head of Marketing and Consumer Insights, the successful candidate willbe responsible to develop a customer-focused strategic direction for our organization.The Senior Market & Consumer Insights Manager will establish this newfunction within the Commercial Marketing team and will play a critical role indriving strategic market and consumer insights programs and projects thatsupport IATA's Commercial sustainability.

    Through rigorous analyses, creative thinking, and deep partnership with thebusiness you will develop strategic understanding of the behavior of ourcustomers and potential customers in existing and new market segments andregions, as well as work with internal groups to analyze data, draw insights,author reports and make business recommendations. You will also help toinfluence the business regularly through primary and secondary researchincluding research via our Net Promoter tracking program, as well as ad hocresearch projects.

    This role requires an individual with a passion for consumer behavior,excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. The role requiresinfluencing internal and external stakeholders, using data, to make keystrategic business decisions that impact IATA's Commercial sustainability. Thesuccessful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attentionto detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment.

    What your day would be like

  • Oversee the organization's commercial data and analytics function to enhance insights and create a holistic view of customers and markets;
  • Oversee the organization's products and services Net Promoter program;
  • Manage market and consumer insights department staff and priorities;
  • Perform quantitative (and qualitative) research to uncover fact-based insights on customers and markets;
  • Responsible for designing, managing, analyzing and delivery of research reports, including visualization of research findings, summary of findings and recommendations as well presentation to management and internal stakeholders;
  • Support Marketing, Sales and New Product Development in all efforts to increase acquisition and retention among top clients. This includes the identification of new opportunities for existing products and the support of go-to-market strategies for new products;
  • Elaborate pricing studies aimed to discover what customers are willing to pay for a product or a service, and by doing so, determine the optimal price point to maximise profit, revenue or market share;
  • Monitor the market, selected customer profiles, competition trends and behaviors;
  • Support development of sales materials through analyzing industry trends, competitive landscape as well as primary & secondary research studies;
  • Helping to deliver insights and research projects in the form of presentations, case studies, white papers and articles for trade publications;
  • Provide feedback on pricing, product, functionalities and contribute to product roadmaps and new product development (NPD);
  • Develop and maintain profound subject matterexpertise in the functional area of the products covered.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience working in a quantitative role (Consumer Insights, Marketing Research, or related field);
  • Experience in running a market / consumer research department/team;
  • Proven track record of delivering on objectives and overseeing a successful market research department;
  • Advanced analysis and report writing skills focused on delivering insights and actionable recommendations;
  • Comfortable doing in-house research, focus groups, etc. as well as liaising with third-party vendors;
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from raw data and communicate them effectively to a diverse set of stakeholders;
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and connecting data sources;
  • Strong experience in NPS programs and providing successful insights to improve score over time;
  • Intellectual curiosity, real passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on judgment;
  • Exceptional business judgment and quantitative analytical abilities - identifying the problem, defining a solution approach, collating the data, analyzing the results and delivering meaningful insights;
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and experience distilling and communicating complex quantitative analysis; experience with BI / data visualization tools (, PowerBI) is an asset;
  • Experience in programming and analyzing surveys using online survey platforms (, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Hotjar) preferred;
  • Experience with Google Analytics – Certification is a plus;
  • Experience in people management and daily department operational management;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and working with tight deadline while maintaining a strong client service orientation;
  • Aviation industry background is desired but not required;
  • Advanced proficiency in in excel and basic grasp of SQL;
  • Ability to, at least partially, work from home and in a virtual team environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.
