The World Economic Forum hosts UpLink, a digital platform aimed at gathering innovative ideas that can speed up the delivery of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The platform connects entrepreneurs, changemakers, and experts with decision-makers to bring about change and scale the best innovations.

UpLink works with the Forum's 10 Centers on projects related to entrepreneurship, innovation, and the SDGs, with a particular focus on areas such as Nature, Ocean, Circular Economy, Food, Water, Climate, and Urban Transformation.

Why we are recruiting


The UpLink Team is recruiting a Lead for our Operations & Data Success Team to spearhead the operational and data management aspects of UpLink.

The Lead will be responsible for managing a team of operations, coordination and data professionals and will play a key role in supporting our UpLink activities in its current phase of growth.

Reporting Lines & Interactions


The role will be based in Geneva, report into the Head of UpLink and work closely across the Growth & Partnerships, Technology, and Marketing units within the team.

Across the Forum, this individual will work closely with the broader Technology and Digital Innovation cluster, with Legal & Compliance, Finance, and with business services.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and then lead the operations and data success team, which will drive the team's efforts across process & data management, onboarding into the UpLink Innovation Network, collaboration with the legal & compliance as well as finance teams.
  • Oversee UpLink's offshore operational and digital success unit.
  • Develop and implement datadriven strategies to optimize UpLink's platform performance, user experience, and engagement.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of UpLink's operations and data management activities.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including product, Growth & Partnerships, Marketing and Engagement teams to prioritize and implement operational improvements and datadriven insights.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in UpLink's operations and data management practices and contribute to the development of the platform's longterm strategy.
  • Standardization & efficiency implementation:
  • Creation and/or management of tools to track team progress and providing transparency and accountability for the entire team as well as UpLink's management team.-
  • Data quality and ease of management
  • Building and/or improving the data and data-management structures for UpLink across its CRM instances.-
  • Quality/ease of implementation of data processes.-
  • Set and ensure governance with CRM data management.-
  • Healthy support functions:
  • Well-functioning, motivated and effective India-based team.-
  • Strong coordination across team logistics, finance and legal.

Preferred Requirements and Experience- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, operations, data management, or a related field years of experience in operations and data management, digital project delivery, change management or product management for digital products, preferably in a technology or start-up environment.- Project Management certification preferred to complement strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and resources effectively. Strong proficiency in Salesforce, AirTable, Jira and other common digital tools for data management and analysis.- A solid understanding of business processes and technical infrastructure.- Strong analytical skills and experience driving data quality projects through CRMs and taking data-driven decisions.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences Passion for social impact and innovation.
