The role requires managing the investment-related daily business together with the Relationship Managers (RMs), Investment Advisors (IAs) and Portfolio Managers (PMs).

You will act as IWMS' ambassador inside and outside the Bank, as a primary contact for RMs and a Subject Matters Expert (SME) for matters related to Discretionary solutions and selected advisory mandates.

You will be supporting RMs in prospecting new clients, managing enhancement of existing client share of wallet, and retention by providing holistic investment and portfolio advice across asset classes.

Furthermore, you will be also participating prospect & client meetings, guiding RMs through the bank's investment strategy and product offering and hosting regular desk meetings.


YOUR CHALLENGE:


  • Act as representative and ambassador of Julius Baer and IWMS internally and externally
  • Act as "One-StopShop" for the IWMS investment value chain
  • Acquisition: Prospect pitches for discretionary and advisory solutions
  • Manage sales and aftersales for standard discretionary managed solutions
  • Serve as 1st point contact for the Portfolio Management team
  • Sales and maintenance of Core-Satellite solutions
  • Support RMs in the book transformation, improving profitability and increasing the shareofwallet
  • Provide investmentrelated services for highvolume or highly profitable advisory mandates including conducting portfolio proposals / reviews, create sophisticated, tailormade proposals and presenting the results to clients / prospects considering client suitability, risk appetite, lifecyclerelated needs and investment objectives
  • Be a sparring partner to RMs in market and investment product related matters
  • Act as an unbiased and holistic business enabler for client solutions including crossselling activities (Advisory and Discretionary Mandates, Funds, Structured Products, Credits, Global Custody, Wealth & Tax Planning etc.)
  • Support sales and aftersales activity with prospects as well as existing clients (i.e. join prospect/existing client/retention meetings)
  • Support internal and external events

and on demand presentations

YOUR PROFILE:


  • Extensive (35+ years) professional experience in banking and finance, preferably in Investment Advisory, Discretionary Portfolio Management or Asset Management
  • University Degree or Apprenticeship/High School Diploma, preferably in Economics or Finance
  • Further education in financial markets (CFA, ESG etc.) of advantage
  • Genuine passion for financial markets
  • Pronounced knowledge in all asset classes and financial products (funds, structured products, etc.) in a portfolio context
  • Successful networker both within and outside the Bank
  • Entrepreneurial and salesoriented mindset
  • High interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and outgoing personality
  • English and German (excellent written and oral skills) is mandatory, additional languages would be an asset
  • Financial information tools (profound knowledge e.g. Reuters/Eikon, Bloomberg)
