Head EHS & Facility Support (f/m/d) 100%**:

As Head EHS & Facility Support you provide the overall strategy and framework for EHS (Environment Health and Safety) and Facility Support in MC4a.

You ensure a safe and reliable workplace to produce commercial LBPs. Member of the Visp Site Leadership Team.

My main tasks will be:

Support and advice of customers and line instances in all matters of EHS
Review of all processes in the field of process safety, occupational safety, health protection including occupational hygiene and ergonomics, environmental protection
Review of the implementation of legal and internal requirements
Establishing and updating of corresponding internal SOPs
Planning, execution and evaluation of internal security audits and tours
Preparation and updating of the database on toxicology, ecology, ecotoxicology and safety of raw materials, intermediate and end products incl. wastes on the basis of literature, information from collegiate companies and authorities
Notification, classification, labelling and documentation of substances and products in accordance with the relevant international and countryspecific transport and chemicals legislation
Investigation of incidents and accidents
Assessment of safetyrelated and occupational hygiene investigations,
Coordinating, implementing and ensuring a local occupational health & safety system and environmental management
Establishing a local EHS-System within Bacthera AG CH regarding legal compliance concerning EHS, process safety, occupational health & safety, occupational hygiene, occupational medicine, ergonomics, environmental protection and corporate social responsibility
Ensuring regular inspections of procedures and processes, including process safety, legal compliance for local EHS, occupational health & safety, occupational hygiene, occupational medicine, ergonomics and environmental protection
Organizing, establishing and implementing local trainings
Supervision of safetyrelated equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers)
Maintain strategy and concepts to ensure needed clean rooms and containment for our production lines in collaboration with other departments
Define and ensure maintenance and qualification strategy and execution for process and QC equipment of MC4a in collaboration with local teams and equipment suppliers
Establish an efficient equipment lifecycle and timely troubleshooting of all equipment in accordance with the operational needs. Planning, implementing and evaluating preventive programs and strategies
Coordination of building maintenance, servicing and repair work of all building components
Responsible to establish and maintain interface to landlord services (e.g. Building Utilities Operations)
Supervision of 3rd party service provider like room cleaning and laundry service.

I bring with me:

Master or PhD degree in a relevant life science or engineering field or similar
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the GMP regulated pharmaceutical industry, preferably in microbiologic sector
Experienced and comfortable with Health Authority GMP inspections (e.g. Swissmedic, US-FDA) and customer audits
Experience / Training as a Biosafety officer
Strong leadership skills in a matrix organization
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Openminded for new ideas in a fast changing environment
Strong business understanding
Proactive and solutionoriented team player
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, German would be an advantage
