An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing and international organization within Merck.

In this role, you would work closely with the Head of Global Development Operations and support him/her in managing the organization.


Your role:


  • Provide advanced administrative support in all interactions with global and local colleagues in different level.
  • Work closely with other functions to ensure the organization has what it needs to operate at the highest level of efficiency.
  • Manage numerous important cross functional as well as global meetings, create agendas, consolidate presentations, action items, send followup communications and deliverables as well as have an active voice in the meetings.
  • Track important documents for signature in a timely and efficient manner and deliver to appropriate party.
  • Schedule and maintain the daily calendar of the Head of Global Development Operations and other members.
  • Coordinate complex international travel arrangement.
  • Process expense reports and maintain/obtain Purchasing Orders within SAP

Who you are:


  • At least 5 years of experience as Executive Assistant to department heads
  • Graduate background in business administration and/or other similar discipline
  • High customer service mentality
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational ability: time management, prioritization, able to handle and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Highly selfmotivated and proactive, willing and able to take on responsibility
  • High team orientation and ability to build networks that enable working across different organizational units
  • Ability to assess risk, solve problems and take decisions
  • Proven experience and examples of developing and maintaining relationships across functions
  • Ability to create/reinforce feeling of 'one team' by enabling sharing of successes and rewarding people supporting each other's goals
  • Ability to multitask and to be flexible to work assignments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and followthrough a must
  • Strong cultural awareness
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) ? other regional languages appreciated
