Who we are


Collège du Léman is one of Switzerland's most prestigious international day and boarding schools, located on the edge of Lake Geneva in view of the Swiss Alps.

They come together on a green, village-like campus covering 8 hectares. Students follow international and national curricula, with English, French and Bilingual programmes.


Main purpose of the role


The Activity Leader specialized in Performing Arts oversees students from all over the world between the ages of 8 and 18 years.

The responsibilities are to create and lead Dance or Drama Activities for students in the afternoons and to supervise other activities and animations according to the established planning during the mornings or evenings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and monitoring children from 8 to 18 years
  • Accompanying and supervising children all day, afternoon and evening
  • Entertaining by planning or delivering activities
  • Organizing games, workshops and shows
  • Ensuring the safety of children during all trips in or out of the Summer Camp
  • Being responsible for children's hygiene and safety
  • Ensuring the compliance with health and safety rules of Collège du Léman and respecting the material and the areas

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience working with children and teens mandatory
  • Experience in teaching or practicing several specific Dance or Drama activities
  • Responsible and autonomous
  • Ability to reassure children and parents
  • Languages required: English and French (Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic is a plus)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Motivated, dynamic, flexible, professional, organized, and creative
  • Sports oriented (in order to participate in various sporting activities arranged for the children)
  • Ability to work in a team environment is vital
  • Availability in July and August
  • Being available to work on weekends

Conditions
The summer camp is planned over 3 sessions from July 2nd to August 12th, 2023.


Dates:

  • Training period:
  • Session 1: July 2nd to 15th, 202
  • Session 2: July 16th to 29th, 202
  • Session 3: July 30th to August 12th, 2023
The Activity Leader specialised in Performing Arts will be provided accommodation on campus in shared rooms if needed.

  • It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships. _
