Who we are looking for


A Financial Accountant who will take charge of all accounting tasks of Symbiotics Group SA (the holding company) after a dedicated training with the Group Finance.

It will include the booking and payment of all invoices and expense claims, the reconciliation of accounting positions, the calculation and booking of depreciation and reevaluation and all other accounting tasks necessary for the monthly closing.


The Financial Accountant will also be a key player in all the projects that have been assigned to the Head of Finance mainly the reporting framework, the consolidation of accounts plus all specific developments that will occur in the coming months.


The Financial Accountant will finally be the backup of the Head of Finance for the administration of the company ERP (Business Central - MS Dynamics 365 ) and the Payment and Expense Management software (Continia).

The position is based in our Head office in Geneva, with reporting line to the Head of Finance.

About the Job

Finance

Review and scan all invoices & expense claims, ask for validation through Continia workflow and book all invoices / claims in Business Central
Prepare all payments of invoices & expense reports, get validation from management and book payments in Business Central
Book all cash related transactions, prepare the weekly treasury report, manage the petty cash
With the help of Continia, take care of corporate credit cards invoices and reconcile the monthly invoices with supporting documentation
Revaluate foreign currency balances & Group liquidities for the monthly closing
Reconcile Fixed Assets Register, calculate & book monthly depreciation
Reconcile transitory accounts and calculate & book tax accruals

Project Management

Assist the Head of Finance in all the assigned projects around Business Central, mainly Reporting, Consolidation, Accounting Standards
Support & training of affiliates' accountants regarding Continia(Continia Capture & Expense Management)
Together with the whole Finance team, deliver Business Central on-the-job training to the affiliates' accountants

Your Qualification


We are looking for a dynamic person who is project oriented, autonomous, and able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

More specifically, you have the following skills and competencies:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Federal Certificate of Specialist in finance and accounting and/or experience
Experienced MS Dynamics Business Central user a plus
Project management certification (PMI or other) an asset
You have a solid experience in accounting
You possess a proven experience in project management
You enjoy collaborating with others to reach common goals
You are comfortable to work in an international and multi-cultural workplace
You pride yourself in providing a great client experience
You easily build trust with others by being down to earth, realistic and being open to other perspectives and ideas
You are adept and agile to perform in a fast-paced environment, and managing competing demands and priorities
You have a high level of integrity and confidentiality
You have an interest in impact finance and/or sustainable development
You are able to work comfortably in both English and French. Other languages such as Spanish would be a plus
Swiss/EU National or valid Swiss Work Permit is required
