The role involves overseeing daily investment activities in collaboration with Relationship Managers (RMs), Investment Advisors (IAs), and Portfolio Managers (PMs).

You will serve as an advocate for IWMS internally and externally, acting as the main point of contact for RMs and as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Discretionary solutions and selected Advisory Mandates.

Your responsibilities include supporting RMs in acquiring new clients, managing existing portfolios, and ensuring retention through comprehensive investment advice across asset classes.

Additionally, you will participate in client meetings, guide RMs on the bank's investment strategy, and host regular desk meetings.


YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Represent Julius Baer and IWMS both internally and externally
  • Serve as a comprehensive resource for the IWMS investment value chain
  • Proactively pitch discretionary and advisory solutions to prospects
  • Handle sales and aftersales for standard DM solutions
  • Act as the primary contact for the Portfolio Management team
  • Ensure sales and maintenance of Core-Satellite selected solutions
  • Assist RMs in improving profitability and increasing share of wallet
  • Provide tailored investment services for advisory mandates, considering client suitability, risk appetite, and investment objectives
  • Support RMs in market and investment-related matters
  • Facilitate client solutions through cross-selling activities
  • Support sales activities with prospects and existing clients
  • Participate in internal and external events
  • Lead sales and desk meetings, providing market updates and tailored content
  • Present at internal and external events

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Over 35 years of experience in banking and finance, preferably in Investment Advisory, Discretionary Portfolio Management, or Asset Management
  • Degree in Economics or Finance, additional certifications like CFA are a plus
  • Deep interest in financial markets
  • Extensive knowledge of asset classes and financial products
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as MiFID II and FIDLEG
  • Strong networking skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and French, additional languages are advantageous
  • Familiarity with financial tools like Reuters/Eikon and Bloomberg
