    We are looking for an Associate Specialist Manure Management , to initiate manage and support collaborative research projects. The focus will be on combining ideas from various scientific fields to develop carbon reduction and nutrient management strategies, with a particular emphasis on manure management. The goal is to achieve multiple benefits at the system level, including improved livelihoods and long-term environmental change.

    A Day in the Life of an Associate Specialist Manure Management

  • Drive new ideas and discoveries in manure and nutrient management systems and environmental impact
  • Conduct scientific studies on manure management and nutrient cycling for revenue generation, GHG emissions reduction, soil health improvement, and regenerative agriculture
  • Test and validate technologies in real-life research farm conditions
  • Contribute to publications, communications, and patents
  • Support technology transfer to Nestlé Product and Technology Center/Operation teams
  • Provide advice and support for research in agricultural systems, environmental impact, and regenerative agriculture
  • Communicate project results to scientific and business audiences
  • What will make you successful

  • in agricultural or livestock sciences, sustainability, or environmental sciences, with a specific focus on greenhouse gas emissions in manure and nutrient management
  • 3 years research experience in environmental sustainability within agricultural operations, preferably with expertise in dairy cattle, including proficiency in study design, methods, analysis, and data interpretation
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues related to manure and fertilizer management
  • Proven track record of effective scientific communication, including presenting at scientific meetings
  • Fluent in English
