Your mission at Climeworks is to optimize the synthesis, and characterize, structural polymers used as solid sorbents for Direct Air Capture (DAC); moreover, you will support the production of these sorbents from laboratory to pilot scale with external partners.

You will be part of our multidisciplinary team of polymer chemists, organic chemists, and materials scientists.
You implement a safetyfirst culture and ensure that Climeworks and all workrelated standards are being met.
You will be responsible for your own goals and for the reporting of your work.
You have completed a degree in chemistry or material science, with a focus on industrial chemistry.
You have already gained experience in a research laboratory and ideally worked in an industrial environment before.
You have a fundamental and applied knowledge of polymer synthesis & modification.
You are motivated to do handson laboratory work.
You gathered experience with porous particle/powder characterization, such as mercury porosimetry, nitrogen adsorption or dynamic vapor sorption.
Your previous knowledge of carbon capture is an advantage.
You are open to travel up to 20% of the time. You are fluent in English. German is a plus.
