Job Summary
The Private Sector & Philanthropic Engagement Unit (PSPE) coordinates WMO's institutional engagement with private and non-state actors.The incumbent will lead resource mobilisation with private sector actors, strengthening partnerships and advancing operationalisation of key initiatives,
The incumbent will perform duties including conducting structured resource mobilisation and partnership development with foundations,
philanthropies corporates high net worth individuals leading operationalisation scale up private sector contributor engagement in close collaboration across WMO departments including through joint development communication tools organising technical investor consultations responding detailed information requests coordinating development communication materials briefing notes talking points relevant events meetings ensuring oversight risk management due diligence reputational safeguards application WMO policies ethics conflicts interest reputational risk full alignment all engagements mandate values intergovernmental character managing staff PSPE Unit focusing collaborating private sector actors engaged monitoring forecasting weather water climate big tech HydroMeteorological Environmental Industry HMEI business association.
- Masters degree equivalent sustainable finance business administration economics private sector engagement international development.
- A minimum seven years experience resource mobilisation private sector actors foundations philanthropies corporates high net worth individuals successfully mobilizing funding from private foundations philanthropies experience sustainable finance related sectors establishing managing bilateral relationships engaging initiatives forums promoting global public goods scientific data services private sector.
