This position is located at our corporate office in Baar, Switzerland.


Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • To support our external procurement consultants to operationalize the procurement strategy to assist in the delivery of AMAN's operational objectives.
  • To be an interface between Hotel Operations and Finance Leadership team to drive and lead collaborative buying through cluster purchasing and leveraging efficiencies.
  • Able to use a structured process to generate and evaluate the widest range of cost reduction and value/quality improvement opportunities for AMAN. Provide appropriate reports and metrics.
  • Able to coach and lead others in the corporate and hotel procurement policies (supplier evaluation and approval processes) and act as champion to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Use your knowledge of the market for goods and services that supports our hotels and corporate business to bring insight and options to stakeholders.
  • Selection, implementation and usage of full suite of etools to drive effective category management decisions, enable RFx sourcing activities, and drive continuous improvement with suppliers, with a particular focus on the Procure To Pay system.
  • Takes the lead role in major supplier negotiations and ensures business partners are aligned to negotiation strategy.
  • Manages contract coverage and renewals in line with Procurement targets for managed spend.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and their teams across AMAN, help implement change as the organization requires.
  • Act as Procurement Business Partner to AMAN stakeholders and teams, both at corporate level but with a growing focus on Hotels. Advise them on procurement processes and procedures.
  • Develop relationships with the corporate teams such as finance, development, operations.
  • Able to understand, influence and gain credibility with all AMAN hotel purchasing and finance teams, to deliver superior business outcomes.
  • Work with our external procurement consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in multinational FMCG, service or hospitality industries.
  • Experience and exposure to regional and global responsibilities and relationship development, both internally and externally.
  • An understanding of Procure To Pay systems and experience in implementing such systems both as a business user and key stakeholder would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role, with experiences in Asia as a definite advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree qualification as a minimum in a relevant field.
  • Understands the regional/local business needs and market situation, integrates the strategy, and adds value to AMAN through appropriately timed regional/local solutions.
  • Must be highly selfmotivated, able to get on and do things with mínimal supervision and strong ability to influence others to contribute.
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, everchanging environment.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel occasionally may be required mostly within Asia and occasionally beyond in the AMAN network.
