Main Purpose:


The ESG Manager is responsible for managing the company's activities related to environmental sustainability for our global operations, and directs the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to meet compliance activities and reporting responsibilities.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Articulate an ESG strategy that it is directly tied to the business' strategies and goals.
  • Design and implement frameworks that meet the requirements of external sustainability standards and certifications.
  • Develop and recommend initiatives and models for achieving or informing corporate goals for GHG reduction, including progress towards Net Zero goals.
  • Lead and partner with customers in developing sustainable energy and resource management strategies.
  • Prepare customer communications and own relevant reporting requirements as required through relevant customer reporting portals.
  • Develop approach and initiate engagement with the supply chain including communication of clear and accurate information about performance, practices, policies, and expectations regarding transparency, carbon reduction and sustainability performance.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Investor Relations in the reporting process to key industry reporting platforms, such as CDP, DJSI, GRI and other disclosure programs.
  • Organize, inform and partner with crossfunctional teams to help coordinate initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of training resources for both internal and external clients.
  • Monitor emerging information and trends relating to global sustainability initiatives such as environmental and carbon legislation, renewable and efficiency incentives and reporting programmes.
  • Develop reporting to the Board on initiatives and customer feedback.
  • Develop annual sustainability/ESG report as part of the company's annual report.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risk and opportunities, and incorporate into the Group risk strategy as required.
  • Creates policies, guidelines related to sustainability programs affecting the environment, health, and safety of the organization.
  • Develop environmental inventories, including data analysis, emission factor development and calculation methodology.
  • Engages with internal stakeholders and presenting regular sustainability reports and conduct sustainability assessments.
  • Manage the due diligence on all business unit's Sustainability Policies

REQUIREMENTS:


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree graduate preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering or any equivalent

Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years of substantial experience in the areas of sustainability and climate policy
  • Experience working with CDP, DJSI, GRI and other sustainability reporting initiatives.
  • Experience designing or redesigning an ESG program.
  • Experience with ESG and sustainability from an investorside

Skills:


  • Proactive, dynamic and result driven individual with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to disseminate detailed technical concepts and data to a broader audience quickly and effectively.
  • Experience working with global teams preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to interface effectively with all business functions throughout the organization.
  • Enthusiasm and "selfstarter" qualities enabling them to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency; the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fastpaced & dynamic environment.
