    Under the general guidance of the Corporate Alliances Manager, this post will optimize the financial and non-financial growth opportunities of a portfolio of high-impact partnerships with Corporates headquartered around the world. The incumbent will play a critical role in working with and advising UNICEF's National Committees, who may co-manage these high-value partnerships, expanding them by geography or channel in order to leverage the greatest impact from the partnership for UNICEF. The incumbent will work closely with National Committees and lead dissemination of knowledge and best-practices in partnership management, across UNICEF.

  • Maximizes a small portfolio of high value corporate partnerships that have the potential to grow exponentially in financial value over the next three years. This should be achieved in collaboration with the relevant National Committees, Country Offices, and with relevant UNICEF Divisions.
  • Research new potential avenues of significant growth (e.g., grants, markets, brands etc.).
  • Develop dedicated growth plans for key high value growth opportunity partners including high level influencing strategy.
  • Develop relevant high value propositions in line with identified growth opportunities.
  • Pitch new growth opportunities in line with the above strategy and in alignment with the relevant UNICEF offices / division.
  • Identifies, and coordinates with National Committees the partnerships for renewal, advises on renewal strategies and best practices, and expands large national partnerships into international ones.
  • Reaches the set renewal % rate and income targets.
  • Delivers upon the expansion income- and impact targets.
  • Coordinates, manages and disseminates regularly a global renewal & growth pipeline and planner.
  • Manages successfully internal and external stakeholders with focus on excellence in:
  • Relationship management of the corporate partners,
  • Engagement with National Committees and Country Offices,
  • Intra-UNICEF stakeholder coordination – with Program Division, Communication, Contracting and other engagement channels such as CSR, Innovations and Advocacy.
  • Contributes to and coordinates elements necessary for the development and implementation of the UNICEF strategy, and the corporate fundraising plan and targets as necessary.
  • Acts as a global center of excellence in partnership management including effective knowledge management and dissemination across the UNICEF family of partnership management best practices, examples and guidelines.
  • Enables participation of corporate partners in UNICEF-, UN and other platform meetings.

    Education:

  • An advanced university degree in Business Management, International Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences, Fundraising, or a related field is required.
  • Alternatively, a first-level University Degree in a relevant field combined with (2) additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Experience:

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant and demonstrated professional experience in corporate partnership development, business development sales, and agency account management or ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is required.
  • Experience managing global high-value partnerships required.
  • Fundraising experience with a large organization and securing multi-million partnerships with the corporate sector are an asset.
  • UN/UNICEF experience is an asset.
  • Language requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
