Exciting Opportunity as a Part-Time Nanny


We are looking for a full-time nanny for an American-British family residing in Geneva, eagerly seeking a warm-hearted and experienced nanny to become a cherished member of their household.

Start Date:
February - March 2024


Children:
A baby, approximately 6 months old at the start date, and an older daughter aged 12. Occasional support may be required for pick up/drop off and homework activities for the older child. Sole charge responsibility when both parents are working or out of the home.


Language Requirements:
English (Children also speak French)


Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings. Typically, working hours are 8 am to 5 pm during weekdays.


Contract Duration:
Medium-term commitment (1-2 years)


Responsibilities:


  • Provide care and supervision for a 6monthold baby.
  • Prepare meals/snacks following guidelines.
  • Change diapers, maintain cleanliness.
  • Establish a consistent nap schedule.
  • Plan ageappropriate play and learning.
  • Track and report health changes.
  • Maintain open communication with parents.
  • Ensure a safe environment.
  • Encourage positive interactions.
  • Assist with pick up/drop off and homework activities for the older child.

Requirements:


Requirements:


  • Eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU Passport or Swiss Work Permit)
  • Strong letters of reference from previous childcare roles
  • Experience with babies is essential
  • First aid qualified
  • Ability to swim
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Patience, nurturing nature, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Driving licence would be a plus. A vehicle can be provided by the family.
