As
Head of Treasury, reporting directly to the CFO, you will be in charge of the cash management of the group which operates under a LBO ownership.


Your main missions will be:

  • Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash management and cash flow.
  • Manage the Treasury organization and its processes in cooperation with management (Group Finance, Campus Finance, Group and local Accounting)
  • Manage one group Treasury member (based in Spain)
  • Coordinate daily cash movements in coordination with Shared Accounting Service Center (FAST)
  • Develop, implement and manage systems to monitor and optimize Group's actual cash flow tracking and forecasting (ebanking vs Treasury Management System tool)
  • Forecast cash in and outflows and related borrowing needs (coordinate input from campuses, consolidate position for total and per site, including necessary intercompany transfer flows, direct / indirect method cash flow). Focus on reliability of cash forecast and completeness of data collected for the assumptions.
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
  • Explain variances to budget / forecast based on actual receipts and spending.
  • Coordinates and animates campuses' student collection teams to foster on time billing and resulting early cash collection from students (weekly meeting). Set targets and followup results
  • Advice and report to Management on the liquidity aspects of its short
- and long-range planning.

  • Evaluate alternative longterm borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines.
  • Arrange short term debt financing with local banks within the authorized limits of the bank documentation (LBO environment). Negotiate terms, ensure signature by authorized persons and followup drawing
  • Monitor compliance to financing covenants and bank documentation (LBO environment).
  • In charge of cash group reporting (collect from all entities, consolidate and prepare group reporting)
  • Follow up of indebtedness and related financial costs
  • Follow up of related guarantees / off balance sheet items
  • Maintain banking relationships (including agent for senior debt). Evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure payment security in the countries where the group operates and in other countries
  • Manage FX risk (natural hedging, buy/sell currencies) as well as interest risk (hedging)
  • Maintain up to date authorized account signatories
  • Determine the Company's goals and risk tolerance.
  • Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities.
  • Assist Accounting and Group CFO in the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP if require supplementary schedules and information. Handle the yearend bank confirmations for statutory auditors.
  • Provide technical and other support for mergers and acquisitions and any other projects as needed.
